Leadership
Faisal Al-Hamad
Chief Executive Officer - NBK WealthMr. Al-Hamad serves as the Chief Executive Officer NBK Wealth in NBK Group and Chairperson of NBK Capital. In addition to previously leading NBK Capital as CEO, Mr. Al-Hamad held several leadership positions in the company since he joined in 2007. Mr. Al-Hamad is the Vice Chairman of Watani Financial Brokerage Company and Board Member of NBK-France.
Prior to joining NBK Capital, Mr. Al-Hamad held several senior positions in leading organizations, including General Manager at Agility Kuwait and Associate Director at Wellington Management International in the UK. Mr. Al-Hamad holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
Nabil N. Maroof
Chief Executive Officer - Global Asset ManagementMr. Nabil Maroof is the Chief Executive Officer at NBK Capital and Head of the Global Asset Management business at NBK Wealth. Mr. Maroof previously held the position of Deputy CEO at the Firm, (from January 2015 to March 2021). He has nearly 3 decades of banking and investments experience with vast knowledge of the local and international markets, having led asset management, investment advisory services, and trading services at NBK Capital. Through his position as CEO of NBK Capital, he leads the Firm locally and regionally, and supervises the progress of its operations. Mr. Maroof holds a bachelor’s degree in General Finance from Boston University; he has participated in several leadership programs at Harvard and Wharton, among many others.
Malek Jean Khalife
Chief Executive Officer – Global Private BankingMr. Khalife joined NBK in 2005 and has been the Head of Global Private Banking for NBK Group since June 2018. He is a vice Chairperson of NBK Lebanon and Board member of NBK France and Watani Wealth Management Co. (KSA). He is also a member of various Management Committees.
Mr. Khalife’s was the General Manager for NBK Private Banking – Kuwait since 2008. Prior to joining NBK, Mr. Khalife was Director of the Private Banking Representative Office at American Express Bank Limited in Lebanon.
He has over 36 years’ experience of Private Banking and Financial Markets in the Middle East and Gulf region. Mr. Khalife holds a master’s degree in Economic Sciences from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon.
